Yesterday Wordpress wouldn’t let me comment. Perhaps the Universe was telling me something about the importance of silence.
I am on my way to a day at the studio as well. Exploring the new, incorporating the old. Seeing what happens. It feels like Spring just might be in the air.

I really can’t give up anything more, so decided to add in areas that I feel are letting the side down a bit.

1. I’m not leaving the apt without make up. I’ve noticed how much better the day goes when I’m ‘groomed’.

2. Only handle a piece of mail once, especially if it is a bill! Just deal with it and it soooo lightens the load.

3. Keep Sundays holy…Sundays are a day of rest so I only do what I want to do. It may be in the studio or at home. Last Sunday, I pretty much stayed in bed and reread Memoires of a Giesha. Then I cleaned my room as if I were Japanese. It’s good to rest and today (Monday) really IS a new day!

mdf…nice to hear from you. Home all week with a cold so haven’t seen the show yet but the work is done! The Royal Academy will be lucky to have you! Can’t wait to see the piece! Springy here today but snow forecast for Saturday. Still, when we’re busy in the studio it hardly matters. Now that you mention Lent—I will give up chocolate and spuds. It can only help. Cheese went in January, to good affect.

mdf….Hope all went well on Tuesday. Congratulations on meeting your goals and now you have a great body of work. Can’t wait to see more.

I’m working on a v.large painting that is absolutely crackers. Decided to enter it into the Royal Acadmedy Summer Exhibition along with 20,000 other UK artists. I think I’ve a chance here…. it’s better odds than the National Lottery. Watch this space.

Cold/dark/grey here at the end of the line. Lots more light though when the sun’s out.
Beautiful, life affirming dawn this morning.

You will! I recommend a cup of tea in a quiet room late afternoon. Forget about everything and see what creeps in! Onwards!! It will be fabulous and so great that you’re out of the cubicle and back writing!
